Tuoni Studios' version of a gothic horror story takes guests on a journey towards and beyond madness, while also serving as a tribute to H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and other masters of the genre.
STORY
In 1926, a remote mansion in the mountains of New England is the scene of brutal murders. The locked basement of the house, shrouded in thick fog, conceals several dead bodies and signs of occult rituals. The victims could not be identified, as time and rats had done their job, and before more detailed investigations, someone or something made sure that nothing but smoldering ashes remained of the deceased. The residents of the nearby village of Abbotts Mill consider the place cursed, with gasping sounds following the footsteps of the traveler. The natives, on the other hand, believe that the mountains are inhabited by a bloodthirsty monster, the Wendigo, an embodiment of fear that moves from time and place to another. The local police cannot find a rational explanation for the events, and the ominous features of the case attract the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Dr. Marlow is sent to the scene by the U.S. Department of Justice. As he delves into the case, Marlow encounters not only the fragility of the human mind, but also the ghosts of his past - signs of the devil. Nightmare and waking blend as Marlow dives deeper and deeper into the darkest regions of the psyche. What is ultimately true and what is a figment of the imagination? Is the unequivocal evil created by a supernatural demon or just an ordinary human being behind the murders? Can you help Dr. Marlow unravel the background of this gruesome mystery before the absurdity of the case takes the investigation, and the investigator with it, into a bottomless abyss of darkness?

There are several murders with occult features. Strange symbols, animal skulls, and blood were found at the murder scene. Some of the victims had been mutilated.
You must travel to Abbotts Mill today, as trains run in the area only a few times a week. Please report to me when you get there. I look forward to hearing from you soon."
HOW THE STORY GOES

Dr. Marlow receives a request for help from the U.S. Department of Justice and heads to the mountains of New England to investigate mysterious deaths. Guests will follow the Doctor's journey towards the truth and investigate the details of a spine-chilling case. The program is divided into four on-stage acts, between which there is an opportunity to examine the evidence and dine, if dining is part of the evening.

In Tuoni Studios’ Show & Dinner programs, guests do not have their own characters, but everyone can participate in the event solving the case in pairs or small groups.

VENUE AND EQUIPMENT

The show requires a stage or a large enough performance area. For the show, we need a screen and a video projector or TV screen (which all guests can see). For groups larger than 50 people, a PA system is required (including one handheld microphone and one headset).

TIPS FOR THE SHOW
​
The show takes place on stage in front of the audience, but in addition, the investigator visits the guests before the final act. It is worth talking to the investigator to get more information about the case.
We recommend bringing at least one charged smart device, and, if necessary, reading glasses for the program. Some of the evidence can be examined physically, but useful information related to the case may also be found online.
In Murder Mysteries, sharing information and cooperation are the keys to success, and at the end of the investigation, each group forms its own theory.
